Journal ArticleDOI

Dietary polychlorinated biphenyls, long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and incidence of malignant melanoma.

TL;DR: While a direct association between dietary PCB exposure and risk of melanoma was found, EPA-DHA intake showed to have a substantial protective association and question of benefits and risk from fish consumption is very relevant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long-term physical activity and lower urinary tract symptoms in men.

TL;DR: The results suggest that physical activity in young and late adulthood may be associated with a lower risk of moderate and severe lower urinary tract symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comparison between two healthy diet scores, the modified Mediterranean diet score and the Healthy Nordic Food Index, in relation to all-cause and cause-specific mortality.

TL;DR: In Swedish women, both mMED and HNFI were inversely associated with all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, and the combined analysis indicated an advantage to be adherent to the mMED.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: PendiXcan as mentioned in this paper uses cis-regulatory variant predictors to impute expression and perform gene-level association tests in GWAS without directly measured transcriptomes, finding statistically significant associations using colon transcriptome models with TRIM4 and PYGL.
