Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic Readers for 5-(Hydroxy)Methylcytosine and Its Oxidized Derivatives
Cornelia G. Spruijt,Felix Gnerlich,Arne H. Smits,Toni Pfaffeneder,Pascal W.T.C. Jansen,Christina Bauer,Martin Münzel,Mirko Wagner,Markus Müller,Fariha Khan,Fariha Khan,H. Christian Eberl,Anneloes Mensinga,Arie B. Brinkman,Konstantin Lephikov,Udo Müller,Jörn Walter,Rolf Boelens,Hugo van Ingen,Heinrich Leonhardt,Thomas Carell,Michiel Vermeulen +21 more
TL;DR: Oxidized derivatives of mC recruit distinct transcription regulators as well as a large number of DNA repair proteins in mouse ES cells, implicating the DNA damage response as a major player in active DNA demethylation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The bio in the ink: cartilage regeneration with bioprintable hydrogels and articular cartilage-derived progenitor cells.
Riccardo Levato,William Webb,Iris A. Otto,Anneloes Mensinga,Yadan Zhang,Mattie H.P. van Rijen,P. René van Weeren,Ilyas M. Khan,Jos Malda +8 more
TL;DR: The results provide important information for the use of ACPC-laden hydrogels in regenerative medicine, and pave the way to the biofabrication of 3D constructs with multiple cell types for cartilage regeneration or in vitro tissue models.
Journal ArticleDOI
ZMYND8 Co-localizes with NuRD on Target Genes and Regulates Poly(ADP-Ribose)-Dependent Recruitment of GATAD2A/NuRD to Sites of DNA Damage
Cornelia G. Spruijt,Cornelia G. Spruijt,Martijn S. Luijsterburg,Roberta Menafra,Rik G.H. Lindeboom,Pascal W.T.C. Jansen,Raghu Ram Edupuganti,Marijke P. Baltissen,Wouter W. Wiegant,Moritz C. Voelker-Albert,Filomena Matarese,Anneloes Mensinga,Ina Poser,Harmjan R. Vos,Hendrik G. Stunnenberg,Haico van Attikum,Michiel Vermeulen +16 more
TL;DR: ZMYND8 bridges NuRD to a number of putative DNA-binding zinc finger proteins and provides unique functionality to distinct NuRD subcomplexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
MBD5 and MBD6 interact with the human PR-DUB complex through their methyl-CpG-binding domain.
Baymaz Hi,Alexandra Fournier,Sophie Laget,Zongling Ji,Pascal W. T. C. Jansen,Arne H. Smits,Laure Ferry,Anneloes Mensinga,Ina Poser,Andrew D. Sharrocks,Pierre-Antoine Defossez,Michiel Vermeulen +11 more
TL;DR: It is shown that both MBD5 and MBD6 interact with the mammalian PR‐DUB Polycomb protein complex in a mutually exclusive manner, and the MBD of MBD4 andMBD6 is both necessary and sufficient to mediate this interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bio-ink development for three-dimensional bioprinting of hetero-cellular cartilage constructs.
Vivian H M Mouser,Riccardo Levato,Anneloes Mensinga,Wouter J.A. Dhert,Debby Gawlitta,Jos Malda +5 more
TL;DR: Investigation of gelatin-methacryloyl/gellan gum hydrogels with and without methacrylated hyaluronic acid found high chondrogenic potential for MSCs, followed by ACPCs, which displayed relatively high proteoglycan IV mRNA levels, underscores the need for careful evaluation of the effects of printing on cellular differentiation.
