Physicochemical Changes of Air-Dried and Salt-Processed Ulva rigida over Storage Time
Valentina Alexandra Francisco Alves Pinheiro,Catarina Marçal,Helena Abreu,José A. Lopes da Silva,Artur M. S. Silva,Susana M. Cardoso +5 more
TL;DR: Overall, the main changes occurred in physical aspects during storage time, with U. rigida intensifying its yellow/browning tones, which were more evident in salt-treated samples, and the force necessary to fracture the seaweed also increased under all the preservative conditions in the first month.
Journal ArticleDOI
Six years of follow-up after bilateral hand replantation.
Marisa Marques,Inês Correia-Sá,M.-J. Festas,Susana Silva,A.-I. Silva,Artur M. S. Silva,José Amarante +6 more
TL;DR: A 21-year-old patient with bilateral hand amputation was benefited from limb replantation and presented a good/satisfactory recovery of range of motion and strength, better at right hand, while functional recovery was higher at the right hand when compared to the left hand.
Book ChapterDOI
NMR studies on the antiradical mechanism of phenolic compounds towards 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical.
Journal ArticleDOI
Easily degradable chlorinated compounds derived from glucuronoxylan in filtrates from chlorine dioxide bleaching of Eucalyptus globulus kraft pulp
Carmen S. R. Freire,Armando J. D. Silvestre,C. Pascoal Neto,Artur M. S. Silva,Dmitry V. Evtuguin,José A. S. Cavaleiro +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three mono-chlorinated compounds derived essentially from glucuronoxylan were identified as the major components of the ethyl acetate extract from chlorine dioxide bleaching filtrates of E.globulus kraft pulp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of [60]fullerene–glycopyranosylaminopyrimidin-4-one conjugates
Carina I.C. Jordão,Andreia S.F. Farinha,Roger F. Enes,Augusto C. Tomé,Artur M. S. Silva,José A. S. Cavaleiro,Catarina I. V. Ramos,M. G. Santana-Marques,Filipe A. Almeida Paz,José M. de la Torre Ramirez,Maria Dolores López de la Torre,Manuel Nogueras +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of several C60 derivatives containing a 6-(β- d -glycopyranosylamino)pyrimidin-4-one unit and a C60-uridine conjugate is described.
