Effect of Temperature Stratification on the Auto-Ignition of Lean Ethanol/Air Mixture in HCCI Engine
TL;DR: In this article, a large eddy simulation (LES) method was used to resolve the in-cylinder turbulence field in space and time, and the results showed that the initial shape of hot/cold spots is quickly modified by turbulence.
