The classification of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders in the ICD-11

TL;DR: The proposed grouping includes obsessive-compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, hypochondriasis, olfactory reference disorder, and hoarding disorder, which is based on common clinical features of included disorders including repetitive unwanted thoughts and associated behaviours and is supported by emerging evidence from imaging, neurochemical, and genetic studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Age-dependent cognitive changes in carriers of the fragile X syndrome

TL;DR: An inhibitory deficit and its impact across the lifespan are specifically associated with the fragile X premutation status, and may be a precursor for development of a more severe form of cognitive impairment or dementia, which has been reported in patients with the diagnosis of FXTAS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lifespan Changes in Working Memory in Fragile X Premutation Males.

TL;DR: The findings indicate a specific vulnerability in premutation males on tasks that require simultaneous manipulation and storage of new information, so-called executive control of memory, which appears to exist regardless of the presence of FXTAS symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI

The ICD-11 developmental field study of reliability of diagnoses of high-burden mental disorders: results among adult patients in mental health settings of 13 countries.

TL;DR: Assessment of inter‐diagnostician reliability of mental disorders accounting for the greatest proportion of global disease burden and the highest levels of service utilization provides support for the suitability of the ICD‐11 diagnostic guidelines for implementation at a global level.
