Azaphilone and Diphenyl Ether Derivatives from a Gorgonian-Derived Strain of the Fungus Penicillium pinophilum

TL;DR: Three new azaphilone derivatives, pinophilins D-F (1-3), and one new diphenyl ether derivative, hydroxypenicillide (10), together with nine known compounds, were isolated from the gorgonian-derived fungus PenicilliumPinophilum XS-20090E18 and showed cytotoxicity against Hep-2, RD, and HeLa cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Marine natural products as potential anti-tubercular agents

TL;DR: A systematic survey of MNPs with anti-TB activity illustrates the impact of these compounds on drug discovery research against tuberculosis and identifies ten that have the potential for further development.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antifouling and Fungicidal Resorcylic Acid Lactones from the Sea Anemone-Derived Fungus Cochliobolus lunatus.

TL;DR: Three new 14-membered resorcylic acid lactones, cochliomycins D-F, 1-3, and eight known analogues, 4-11, were isolated from the sea anemone-derived fungus Cochliobolus lunatus, and preliminary structure-activity relationships are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure elucidation of two new xanthone derivatives from the marine fungus Penicillium sp. (ZZF 32#) from the South China Sea.

TL;DR: Two new xanthones, 8‐(methoxycarbonyl)‐1‐hydroxy‐9‐oxo‐9H‐xanthene‐3‐carboxylic acid and 6‐dicarboxylate, were isolated from the culture broth of the mangrove fungus Penicillium sp.
