Journal ArticleDOI
Zn Induces Lipophagy via the Deacetylation of Beclin1 and Alleviates Cu-Induced Lipotoxicity at Their Environmentally Relevant Concentrations.
TL;DR: In this article, the mechanisms of environmentally relevant doses of Cu and Zn mixtures influencing lipid deposition and metabolism were investigated in freshwater teleost yellow catfish Pelteobagrus fulvidraco (2 months old, 4.95 g, mean ± SEM).
Journal ArticleDOI
Ecological Recovery and Resilience in Environmental Risk Assessments at the European Food Safety Authority
Theo C.M. Brock,Franz Bigler,Geoff K Frampton,Christer Hogstrand,Robert Luttik,Fabrice Martin-Laurent,Christopher J. Topping,Wopke van der Werf,Agnès Rortais +8 more
TL;DR: It is advocated that a systems approach is required to integrate the diversity of ecosystem services providing units, environmental factors, scales, and stressor-related responses necessary to address the context dependency of recovery and resilience in agricultural landscapes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioavailability of a natural lead-contaminated invertebrate diet to zebrafish
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that Pb naturally incorporated in N. diversicolor is bioavailable to fish, and fish exhibit sex-dependent dietary metal accumulation patterns, but after 63 d of the experimental feeding regimen, reproductive performance was unaffected.
