TL;DR: No signs of incompatibility of both strains composing BioPlus 2B with lasalocid sodium at the authorised level have been observed, which allows concluding to the compatibility of both products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immobilization of Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 in diffusive gradients in thin films for determining metal bioavailability.
TL;DR: This is the first study to investigate how a microorganism that was incorporated into a DGT device such as the metal reducing bacteria, S. oneidensis, may affect the mobility of metals.
Journal ArticleDOI
A radioimmunoassay for metallothionein in fish
TL;DR: A sensitive radioimmunoassay for metallothionein (MT) from perch (Perca fluviatilis) has been developed and the antiserum cross-reacts with MT from four fish species tested in addition to perch, but has low avidity for horse kidney MT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk Assessment of Combined Exposure to Multiple Chemicals at the European Food Safety Authority: Principles, Guidance Documents, Applications and Future Challenges
Irene Cattaneo,Alexander D. Kalian,Matteo Di Nicola,B. Dujardin,S. Levorato,Luc Mohimont,Alexis V. Nathanail,Edoardo Carnessechi,M. C. Astuto,Jose Tarazona,George E.N. Kass,A. K. D. Liem,Tobin Robinson,Paola Manini,Christer Hogstrand,Paul S. Price,Jean-Lou Dorne +16 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors present a framework for the human health, animal health, and ecological risk assessment of combined exposure to multiple chemicals using the same steps as single-substance risk assessment, namely problem formulation, exposure assessment, hazard assessment and risk characterisation.
Preliminary evaluation of the safety and efficacy of paromomycin sulphate for turkeys for fattening and turkeys reared for breeding 1 Scientific Opinion of the Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed
Georges Bories,Paul Brantom,Joaquim Brufau de Barberà,Andrew Chesson,Pier Sandro,Bogdan Debski,Noël Dierick,Ingrid Halle,Christer Hogstrand,Lubomir Leng,Sven Lindgren,Anne-Katrine Lundebye Haldorsen,Carlo Nebbia,Walter Rambeck,Pieter Wester +14 more
TL;DR: A preliminary evaluation of the safety and efficacy of paromomycin sulphate when used as feed additive under the category coccidiostats/histomonostats found it shows an antimicrobial effect on susceptible bacterial strains at levels considerably lower than those proposed for feed use.
