TL;DR: In patients with coronary heart disease, wearing a facemask reduces symptoms and is associated with objective improvements in myocardial ischaemia, blood pressure and heart rate variability, this simple well-tolerated intervention has the potential to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events.
