Journal ArticleDOI

Percutaneous coronary intervention causes a rapid but transient mobilisation of CD34(+)CD45(-) cells.

TL;DR: PCI transiently increases circulatingCD34+CD45− cells, without increasing CD34+ adhesion molecule expression or VEGF-A concentrations, suggesting that CD34-CD45+ cells may be mobilised from the vessel wall directly as a result of mechanical injury.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detecting unstable plaques in humans using cardiac CT: Can it guide treatments?

TL;DR: This review will focus on coronary imaging with CT with a specific focus on the detection of coronary atherosclerosis, high‐risk plaque features, and the implications for patient management.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association between hypertension and retinal vascular features in ultra-widefield fundus imaging.

TL;DR: Semiautomated measurements of NA-AVR in ultra-widefield fundus imaging were associated with hypertension, and showed differences between left and right eyes, highlighting the importance of investigating both eyes of a patient.
