Journal ArticleDOI

History and Concepts of Big Plant Genera

TL;DR: It is argued that comparisons of size, phenomena, and processes will only be possible by comprehensive study of the lineages comprising these genera and their immediate historical relatives; uncritical lists or relatively limited samples are not enough.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Guinea has the world’s richest island flora

Rodrigo Cámara-Leret, +113 more
- 05 Aug 2020 -
TL;DR: A catalogue of the vascular flora of New Guinea indicates that this island is the most floristically diverse in the world, and that 68% of the species identified are endemic to New Guinea.
Journal Article

Phylogeny and geography of Schefflera : Pervasive polyphyly in the largest genus of araliaceae

TL;DR: Results of phylogenetic analyses based on nuclear (ITS) and plastid (trnL-trnF) DNA sequences indicate that Schefflera is markedly polyphyletic, comprising no fewer than five major clades distributed across the phylogenetic tree of Araliaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reconstructing the Complex Evolutionary History of the Papuasian Schefflera Radiation Through Herbariomics.

TL;DR: A high-throughput sequencing approach which combines target capture and genome shotgun sequencing and shows the efficacy of the Angiosperms-353 probe kit in resolving both deep and shallow phylogenetic relationships finds strong support for most infrageneric morphological groupings, as currently circumscribed.
