An anatomically comprehensive atlas of the adult human brain transcriptome

TL;DR: A transcriptional atlas of the adult human brain is described, comprising extensive histological analysis and comprehensive microarray profiling of ∼900 neuroanatomically precise subdivisions in two individuals, to form a high-resolution transcriptional baseline for neurogenetic studies of normal and abnormal human brain function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validating clustering for gene expression data

TL;DR: This work provides a systematic framework for assessing the results of clustering algorithms for gene expression data sets by applying a clustering algorithm to the data from all but one experimental condition.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Nonrigid multimodality image registration

TL;DR: An algorithm capable of 3D PET-CT registration in the chest, using mutual information as a similarity criterion, is designed, implemented, and validated using a limited-memory quasi-Newton optimization package and a hierarchical multiresolution framework.
