The efficacy of post-cardiopulmonary bypass dosing of vancomycin in cardiac surgery.
Jayashree Raikhelkar,David Reich,Rebecca Schure,Robin Varghese,Carol A. Bodian,Corey Scurlock +5 more
TL;DR: Vancomycin concentrations in the serum were greater than the minimum inhibitory concentration for most staphylococci ranging from 4 to 19.3 µg/mL producing acceptable therapeutic serum concentrations and low rate of infectious complications, thus postbypass dosing is acceptable in vancomYcin cardiac surgical prophylaxis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistic effect of hypoalbuminaemia and hypotension in predicting in-hospital mortality and intensive care admission: a retrospective cohort study.
Eyal Klang,Shelly Soffer,Eyal Zimlichman,Alexis M. Zebrowski,Benjamin S. Glicksberg,Ehud Grossman,Ehud Grossman,David Reich,Robert Freeman,Matthew A. Levin +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated hypoalbuminaemia and hypotension synergism as predictor of in-hospital mortality and intensive care unit (ICU) admission, and the rates of these outcomes were stratified by systolic blood pressure (SBP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Six year disease free survival after liver transplantation in a patient with T3 gallbladder carcinoma: case presentation and review of the literature.
TL;DR: "Incidentally" discovered stage IIA gallbladder carcinoma may not negatively affect long term survival after liver transplantation and is currently six years post procedure and free of disease.
