Origins and Functional Specialization of Macrophages and of Conventional and Monocyte-Derived Dendritic Cells in Mouse Skin
Samira Tamoutounour,Samira Tamoutounour,Samira Tamoutounour,Martin Guilliams,Frédéric Montanana Sanchis,Frédéric Montanana Sanchis,Frédéric Montanana Sanchis,Hong Liu,Dorothea Terhorst,Dorothea Terhorst,Dorothea Terhorst,Camille Malosse,Camille Malosse,Camille Malosse,Emeline Pollet,Emeline Pollet,Emeline Pollet,Laurence Ardouin,Laurence Ardouin,Laurence Ardouin,Hervé Luche,Hervé Luche,Hervé Luche,Cindy Sanchez,Cindy Sanchez,Cindy Sanchez,Marc Dalod,Marc Dalod,Marc Dalod,Bernard Malissen,Bernard Malissen,Bernard Malissen,Sandrine Henri,Sandrine Henri,Sandrine Henri +34 more
TL;DR: A high degree of functional specialization occurs among the mononuclear phagocytes of the skin when monocyte-derived DCs are continuously generated by extravasated Ly-6C(hi) monocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tissue-specific differentiation of colonic macrophages requires TGFβ receptor-mediated signaling.
Anika Schridde,Anika Schridde,Anika Schridde,Calum C. Bain,Johannes U Mayer,J. Montgomery,Emeline Pollet,B. Denecke,Simon Milling,Stephen J. Jenkins,Marc Dalod,Sandrine Henri,Bernard Malissen,Oliver Pabst,Oliver Pabst,A. Mcl Mowat +15 more
TL;DR: Global transcriptomic analysis is used to identify a unique homeostatic signature of mature colonic mφ that is acquired as they differentiate in the mucosa and identifies TGFβ as an indispensable part of monocyte differentiation in the intestine and shows that it enables m φ to adapt precisely to the requirements of their environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Harnessing Mechanistic Knowledge on Beneficial Versus Deleterious IFN-I Effects to Design Innovative Immunotherapies Targeting Cytokine Activity to Specific Cell Types.
Elena Tomasello,Elena Tomasello,Elena Tomasello,Emeline Pollet,Emeline Pollet,Emeline Pollet,Thien-Phong Vu Manh,Thien-Phong Vu Manh,Thien-Phong Vu Manh,Gilles Uzé,Marc Dalod,Marc Dalod,Marc Dalod +12 more
TL;DR: This work discusses how induction or blockade of specific IFN-I responses in targeted cell types could promote the beneficial functions of IFn-I and/or dampen their deleterious effects, in a manner adapted to each disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
The transcription factors Runx3 and ThPOK cross-regulate acquisition of cytotoxic function by human Th1 lymphocytes.
Yasmina Serroukh,Chunyan Gu-Trantien,Baharak Hooshiar Kashani,Matthieu Defrance,Thien-Phong Vu Manh,Abdulkader Azouz,Aurélie Detavernier,Alice Hoyois,Jishnu Das,Jishnu Das,Martin Bizet,Emeline Pollet,Tressy Tabbuso,Emilie Calonne,Klaas P. J. M. van Gisbergen,Marc Dalod,François Fuks,Stanislas Goriely,Arnaud Marchant +18 more
TL;DR: This work elucidates the molecular program of human CD4CTX T cells and identifies potential targets for immunotherapy against viral infections and cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular dissection of plasmacytoid dendritic cell activation in vivo during a viral infection
Elena Tomasello,Karima Naciri,Rabie Chelbi,Gilles Bessou,Anissa Fries,Elise Gressier,Abdenour Abbas,Emeline Pollet,Philippe Pierre,Toby Lawrence,Thien-Phong Vu Manh,Marc Dalod +11 more
TL;DR: It is shown here that in vivo during mouse cytomegalovirus infection pDC produce high amounts of IFN‐I downstream of the TLR9‐ to‐MyD88‐to‐IRF7 signaling pathway without requiring IFn‐I positive feedback, high IRF7 expression, or AP3‐driven endosomal routing of TLRs.
