Journal ArticleDOI
Sequencing of neuroblastoma identifies chromothripsis and defects in neuritogenesis genes
Jan J. Molenaar,Jan Koster,Danny A. Zwijnenburg,Peter van Sluis,Linda J. Valentijn,Ida van der Ploeg,Mohamed Hamdi,Johan van Nes,Bart A. Westerman,Jennemiek van Arkel,Marli E. Ebus,Franciska Haneveld,Arjan Lakeman,Linda Schild,Piet Molenaar,Peter Stroeken,Max M. van Noesel,Ingrid Øra,Ingrid Øra,Evan E. Santo,Huib N. Caron,Ellen M. Westerhout,Rogier Versteeg +22 more
TL;DR: The genomic landscape of neuroblastoma reveals two novel molecular defects, chromothripsis and neuritogenesis gene alterations, which frequently occur in high-risk tumours.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide pattern of TCF7L2/TCF4 chromatin occupancy in colorectal cancer cells.
Pantelis Hatzis,Laurens G. van der Flier,Marc A. van Driel,Victor Guryev,Fiona G. G. Nielsen,Sergei Denissov,Isaac J. Nijman,Jan Koster,Evan E. Santo,Willem Welboren,Rogier Versteeg,Edwin Cuppen,Marc van de Wetering,Hans Clevers,Hendrik G. Stunnenberg +14 more
TL;DR: Through a DNA array-based genome-wide analysis of TCF4 chromatin occupancy, 6,868 high-confidenceTCF4-binding sites are identified in the LS174T colorectal cancer cell line and significantly correlate with Wnt-responsive gene expression profiles derived from primary human adenomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
FOXO3a Is A Major Target Of Inactivation By PI3K/AKT Signaling In Aggressive Neuroblastoma
TL;DR: It is indicated that expression of FOXO3a and its targets offer useful prognostic markers as well as biomarkers for PI3K/AKT inhibitor efficacy in neuroblastoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
The pro-longevity gene FoxO3 is a direct target of the p53 tumor suppressor
Valérie M. Renault,Pramod Thekkat,K L Hoang,Jamie L. White,Colleen A. Brady,D Kenzelmann Broz,Ophelia S. Venturelli,Thomas M. Johnson,P R Oskoui,Zhenyu Xuan,Evan E. Santo,Michael Q. Zhang,Michael Q. Zhang,Hannes Vogel,Laura D. Attardi,Anne Brunet +15 more
TL;DR: It is shown that p53 regulates the expression of FoxO3, one of the four mammalian FoxO genes, in response to DNA damaging agents in both mouse embryonic fibroblasts and thymocytes, and suggests that FoxO 3 and p53 are part of a regulatory transcriptional network that may have an important role during aging and cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oncogenic activation of FOXR1 by 11q23 intrachromosomal deletion-fusions in neuroblastoma
Evan E. Santo,Marli E. Ebus,Jan Koster,Johannes H. Schulte,Arjan Lakeman,P. van Sluis,Joëlle Vermeulen,David Gisselsson,Ingrid Øra,Sven Lindner,Patrick G. Buckley,Raymond L. Stallings,Jo Vandesompele,Angelika Eggert,H.N. Caron,Rogier Versteeg,Jan J. Molenaar +16 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that FOXR1 is recurrently activated in neuroblastoma by intrachromosomal deletion/fusion events, resulting in overexpression of fusion transcripts.
