An evaluation of the exposure in nadir observation of the JEM-EUSO mission

James H. Adams, +272 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the exposure during nadir observations with JEM-EUSO, the Extreme Universe Space Observatory, on-board the Japanese Experiment Module of the International Space Station.
Journal ArticleDOI

UV radiation from the atmosphere: Results of the MSU “Tatiana” satellite measurements

TL;DR: In this paper, a near visual UV radiation (NUV) from the Earth atmosphere was measured during the moon month and the results of previous measurements were confirmed: NUV intensity is in limits of 3 × 107 − 108 − 108 -photons/cm2 s−s−sr.
Journal ArticleDOI

The JEM-EUSO mission: An introduction

James H. Adams, +305 more
TL;DR: The Extreme Universe Space Observatory on board the International Space Station, JEM-EUSO, is being designed to search from space ultra-high energy cosmic rays, at the very end of the known cosmic ray energy spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigations of the space environment aboard the Universitetsky-Tat’yana and Universitetsky-Tat’yana-2 microsatellites

TL;DR: The first results obtained through the university small satellites program developed at Moscow State University (MSU) are presented in this paper, where the dynamic properties of fluxes of charged particles in microsatellite orbits are studied and findings are presented regarding specific parameters of solar proton penetration during the geomagnetic disturbances.
