Modeling electronic structure and highly resolved spectroscopies of cuprates: ARPES, RIXS and STM

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present highlights of recent work aimed at understanding angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES), resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS), and scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) spectra in the cuprates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dimensionality-dependent type-II Weyl semimetal state in Mo 0.25 W 0.75 Te 2

TL;DR: In this article, a special sample with the thickness gradient across two-dimensional and three-dimensional (3D) regimes was used to detect a type-II Weyl semimetal with Weyl points located near Fermi level.

Discovery of the topological surface state in a noncentrosymmetric superconductor BiPd

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-resolution angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) study of the normal state electronic properties of BiPd was performed and the experimental results showed the presence of a surface state at higher binding energy with the location of Dirac point at around 700 meV below the Fermi level.
