Stabilization of p53 by microRNAs in HPV-positive cervical cancer cells

TL;DR: A high-throughput live cell assay to identify molecules that stabilize p53 in HPV-positive cells is developed and the results of a screen carried out examining miRNAs for their abilities to stabilized p53 and induce apoptosis are presented, showing the potential to be used in the treatment of HPV- positive cancers.

Structural variation across 138,134 samples in the TOPMed consortium

TL;DR: This paper presented a catalog of 355,667 Structural Variants (SV) across autosomes and the X chromosome from 138,134 individuals in the diverse TOPMed consortium, with high variant quality and >90% allele concordance compared to long-read de-novo assemblies of well-characterized control samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Qualitative Exploration of Barriers to Treatment Among HPV-Positive Women in a Cervical Cancer Screening Study in Western Kenya

TL;DR: Ensure women understand their results and how to seek treatment is essential to improving cervical cancer screening in low-resource settings, and transportation barriers highlight a need for local treatment capacity or screen-and-treat approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI
