Applying stable isotopes to examine food‐web structure: an overview of analytical tools
Craig A. Layman,Márcio S. Araújo,Ross E. Boucek,Caroline M. Hammerschlag-Peyer,Elizabeth Harrison,Zachary R. Jud,Philip Matich,Adam E. Rosenblatt,Jeremy J. Vaudo,Lauren A. Yeager,David M. Post,Stuart Bearhop +11 more
TL;DR: A comprehensive review of stable isotope analysis techniques, and a set of suggestions that transcend individual analytical approaches, are provided to help identify the most useful approaches to apply to a given data set.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: It is concluded that pelagic sharks have limited spatial refuge from current levels of fishing effort in marine areas beyond national jurisdictions (the high seas), demonstrating an urgent need for conservation and management measures at high-seas hotspots of shark space use.
Book ChapterDOI
Predator-Prey Interactions
TL;DR: Feretti et al. as mentioned in this paper place predator-prey interactions in the rich theoretical framework that has developed over the last several decades, from both a behavioral and a trophic perspective.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dietary Niche Overlap in a Nearshore Elasmobranch Mesopredator Community
TL;DR: Variation within the groups examined appears to result in high resource overlap and may be a key component allowing for high diversity in this system and is perhaps crucial to understanding the role of mesopredators in community trophic dynamics.
