Effect of SiC partilces on fatigue crack propagation of spray-formed SiC particulate-reinforced Al–Si alloy composites

TL;DR: In this article, a spray-formed Al-7Si alloy matrix composites reinforced with two different sizes of SiC particles has been studied and the experimental dates demonstrate that the composite containing 45μm SiC particle exhibits lower FCG rate and higher threshold stress intensity factor range ΔKth.

TL;DR: In this paper , a single-slit structured planar focusing lens is proposed for underwater ultrasonic imaging, which is cost effective and easy to fabricate, which would greatly benefit ultrasonic images and drive new applications of ultrasound in various scenarios.

TL;DR: In this article, a silicon carbide-based composite ceramic material with high electric field strength and a preparation method of the material was described. But the preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing SiC, AlN, a sintering aid and a binder, and carrying out ball-milling, mixing, molding and debonding to obtain a silicon- carbide ceramic green body; and Sintering the obtained silicon-carbide-ceramic green body in a nitrogen atmosphere at 1900-2200 DEG C.
