NanoSpec: A diffraction limited micro-spectrograph for pico- and nano-satellites
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a diffraction limited spectrograph (NanoSpec) designed for integration in the 0.75kg i-INPSIRE satellite at the University of Sydney.

High-Redshift Gravitationally Lensed Galaxies and Tunable Filter Imaging
TL;DR: In this paper, a sample of high-redshift star-forming galaxies, gravitationally lensed by massive early-type galaxies at intermediate redshift, z~0.4, is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Source of Ionization along the Magellanic Stream
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a hydrodynamical model that explains the known properties of the H-alpha emission and provides new insights on the lifetime of the Magellanic Stream clouds.
Journal ArticleDOI
An empirical formula for the distribution function of a thin exponential disc
TL;DR: In this article, an empirical formula for a Shu distribution function that reproduces a thin disc with exponential surface density to good accuracy is presented, and an extension of this formula to reproduce velocity dispersion profiles that are an exponential function of radius is also presented.
