TL;DR: The K2-HERMES project as mentioned in this paper uses the HERMES multi-object spectrograph on the Anglo-Australian Telescope to obtain R ∼ 28000 spectra of up to 360 stars in one exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dependence of oxygen and nitrogen abundances on stellar mass from the CALIFA survey
Enrique Perez-Montero,Rubén García-Benito,José M. Vílchez,Sebastián F. Sánchez,C. Kehrig,Bernd Husemann,S. Duarte Puertas,J. Iglesias-Pármao,Lluís Galbany,M. Mollá,C. J. Walcher,Yago Ascasibar,R. M. TL;DR: In this article, the optical spectra of HII regions extracted from a sample of 350 galaxies of the CALIFA survey was analyzed and linear fitting to the abundances as a function of the de-projected galactocentric distances.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors are grateful for the support of Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT, Mexico) for grant CB-285080, and funding from the PAPIIT-DGAPA-IA101217(UNAM), PAPIit: IN103318, and CONACYT: 168251 projects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Fields in the Galactic Halo Restrict Fountain-driven Recycling and Accretion
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examine the evolution of clouds in light of recent claims that they may trigger condensation of gas from the Galactic corona as they move through it, and find that 3D simulations are essential to correctly capture the condensation in all cases.
Journal ArticleDOI
MAGNUM survey: Compact jets causing large turmoil in galaxies. Enhanced line widths perpendicular to radio jets as tracers of jet-ISM interaction
Giacomo Venturi,Giacomo Venturi,Giovanni Cresci,Alessandro Marconi,Alessandro Marconi,M. Mingozzi,Emanuele Nardini,Emanuele Nardini,S. Carniani,Filippo Mannucci,A. Marasco,Roberto Maiolino,Roberto Maiolino,Michele Perna,Michele Perna,Ezequiel Treister,Joss Bland-Hawthorn,Jack F. Gallimore +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the relation between radio jets and the distribution and kinematics of the ionised gas in IC 5063, NGC 5643, IC 1068, and NGC 1386 was studied.
