Paul J. McMillan,Georges Kordopatis,Andrea Kunder,James Binney,Jennifer Wojno,Jennifer Wojno,Tomaz Zwitter,Matthias Steinmetz,Joss Bland-Hawthorn,Brad K. Gibson,Gerard Gilmore,Eva K. Grebel,Amina Helmi,Ulisse Munari,Julio F. Navarro,Quentin A. Parker,George M. Seabroke,Fred G. Watson,Rosemary F. G. Wyse +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used data from the European Space Agency (ESA) mission Gaia (https://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC).
Journal ArticleDOI
Pseudo–three-dimensional maps of the diffuse interstellar band at 862 nm
Janez Kos,Tomaž Zwitter,Rosemary F. G. Wyse,Olivier Bienaymé,James Binney,Joss Bland-Hawthorn,Kenneth C. Freeman,Brad K. Gibson,Gerard Gilmore,Eva K. Grebel,Amina Helmi,Georges Kordopatis,Ulisse Munari,Julio F. Navarro,Quentin A. Parker,Quentin A. Parker,Warren A. Reid,George M. Seabroke,Sanjib Sharma,Arnaud Siebert,Alessandro Siviero,Matthias Steinmetz,Fred G. Watson,Mary E K Williams +23 more
TL;DR: This is the first pseudo–three-dimensional map of the strength of the DIB at 8620 angstroms covering the nearest 3 kiloparsecs from the Sun, and it follows the authors' independently constructed spatial distribution of extinction by interstellar dust along the Galactic plane.

The cold dark matter content of Galactic dwarf spheroidals: no cores, no failures, no problem
Azadeh Fattahi,Julio F. Navarro,Till Sawala,Carlos S. Frenk,Laura V. Sales,Kyle A. Oman,Matthieu Schaller,Jie Wang +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the dark matter content of satellite galaxies in Lambda-CDM cosmological hydrodynamical simulations of the Local Group from the APOSTLE project.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dark matter annihilation radiation in hydrodynamic simulations of Milky Way haloes
Matthieu Schaller,Carlos S. Frenk,Tom Theuns,Francesca Calore,Gianfranco Bertone,Nassim Bozorgnia,Robert A. Crain,Azadeh Fattahi,Julio F. Navarro,Till Sawala,Joop Schaye +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors obtained predictions for the properties of cold dark matter annihilation radiation using high resolution hydrodynamic zoom-in cosmological simulations of Milky Way-like galaxies (APOSTLE project) carried out as part of the "Evolution and Assembly of GaLaxies and their Environments" (EAGLE) programme.
