European summer temperatures since Roman times

TL;DR: In this paper, a new proxy-based, annually-resolved, spatial reconstruction of the European summer (June-August) temperature fields back to 755 CE based on Bayesian hierarchical modeling (BHM), together with estimates of European mean temperature variation since 138 BCE based on BHM and composite-plus-scaling (CPS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Ensemble empirical mode decomposition for tree-ring climate reconstructions

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel data adaptive method named ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) was used to reconstruct past temperature and precipitation variability in two 2,328- and 1,837-year tree-ring chronologies from the Dulan region, northeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.
Journal ArticleDOI

Late Holocene summer temperatures in the central Andes reconstructed from the sediments of high-elevation Laguna Chepical, Chile (32° S)

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a 3000 yr-long austral summer (November to February) temperature reconstruction derived from the 210Pb and 14C-dated organic sediments of Laguna Chepical (32°16' S, 70°30' W, 3050 m a.s.l.), a high-elevation glacial lake in the subtropical Andes of central Chile.
