TL;DR: Although the total number of known species in Brazil is one-third lower than previous estimates, the absolute number of endemic vascular plant species is higher than was previously estimated, and the proportion of endemism is the highest in the Neotropics.

Tolerance of mycorrhized banana (Musa sp. cv. Pacovan) plantlets to saline stress
TL;DR: The salt tolerance of banana as measured by leaf number and plant height increased considerably in presence of Glomus isolates, and inoculation with specific AMF constitutes an alternative method to reduce banana plant stress caused by soil salinization.

TL;DR: It is concluded that vegetation, seasonal variations and soil type affect the AMF diversity, and that the latter is a key factor for the similarity/dissimilarity of AMF communities between areas in the Brazilian semiarid.
