Nephrotic Proteinuria Without Hypoalbuminemia: Clinical Characteristics and Response to Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibition
Manuel Praga,Belen Borstein,Arnado Andres,Joaquín Arenas,Aniana Oliet,C. Montoyo,Luis M. Ruilope,Jose L. Rodicio +7 more
TL;DR: Differences in the antiproteinuric effect of captopril, an antiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, are investigated; after 6 months of treatment, proteinuria decreased clearly in group I, whereas three patients in group II showed a worsening of renal function.

Controlled Trial of Losartan Given Concomitantly with Different Doses of Hydrochlorothiazide in Hypertensive Patients

Luis M. Ruilope,Jose L. Rodicio,Rafael Garcia Robles,Jose M. Sancho,Miranda B,Joey P. Granger,J. Carlos Romero +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the renal hemodynamic effects of amino acid infusion are strongly influenced by angiotensin II and prostaglandin formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term renoprotective effects of standard versus high doses of telmisartan in hypertensive nondiabetic nephropathies
Pedro Aranda,Julian Segura,Luis M. Ruilope,F.J. Aranda,M.A. Frutos,Verónica López,Eduardo Lopez de Novales +6 more
TL;DR: Long-term administration of high doses of telmisartan seems to improve the efficacy of the drug to decrease proteinuria and slow the progression to end-stage renal failure in nondiabetic hypertensive renal disease.
