TL;DR: Clinicians and researchers are encouraged to adopt a common language in olfactory dysfunction to increase the methodological quality, consistency and generalisability of work in this field.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: This study wanted to set objective clinical criteria for the diagnosis of refractory CRS, and found that CRSwNP displays more intense eosinophilic infiltration and the presence of Th2 cytokines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical practice guidelines for the management of olfactory dysfunction - Secondary publication.
Takaki Miwa,Katsuhisa Ikeda,Takuya Ishibashi,Masayoshi Kobayashi,Kenji Kondo,Yoshinori Matsuwaki,Takao Ogawa,Hideaki Shiga,Motohiko Suzuki,Kenzo Tsuzuki,Atsuko Furuta,Yoshiharu Motoo,Shigeharu Fujieda,Yuichi Kurono +13 more
TL;DR: There is considerable evidence that olfactory testing is useful for differential diagnosis, prediction of disease progression, and early detection of cognitive decline in neurodegenerative diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is the aortic depressor nerve involved in arterial chemoreflexes in rats
TL;DR: The rat aortic depressor nerve (ADN) does not contain a functionally significant number of chemoreceptor afferent fibers, if at all, and does not appreciably contribute to generation of che moreflexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Olfactory Nerve Recovery following Mild and Severe Injury and the Efficacy of Dexamethasone Treatment
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that recovery in the olfactory system varies with the severity of injury and that DXM treatment may have therapeutic value by reducing injury-associated tissue and improving recovery outcome.
