Journal ArticleDOI
Attenuation of colon inflammation through activators of the retinoid X receptor (RXR)/peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) heterodimer. A basis for new therapeutic strategies.
Pierre Desreumaux,Laurent Dubuquoy,Sophie Nutten,Michel Peuchmaur,Walter Englaro,Kristina Schoonjans,Benoit Dérijard,Béatrice Desvergne,Walter Wahli,Pierre Chambon,Mark D. Leibowitz,Jean-Frederic Colombel,Johan Auwerx +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that activation of the RXR/PPARγ heterodimer protects against colon inflammation and suggested that combination therapy with both RXR and PPARγ ligands might hold promise in the clinic due to their synergistic effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammatory alterations in mesenteric adipose tissue in Crohn's disease
Pierre Desreumaux,Olivier Ernst,Karel Geboes,Luc Gambiez,Dominique Berrebi,Heide Müller-Alouf,Samira Hafraoui,Dominique Emilie,Nadine Ectors,Michel Peuchmaur,Antoine Cortot,Monique Capron,Johan Auwerx,Jean-Frederic Colombel +13 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that confined increased PPARgamma mesenteric concentrations could lead to the mesentero-abdominal fat hypertrophy, which could actively participate through the synthesis of TNF-alpha in the inflammatory response.
Journal ArticleDOI
Overall Genomic Pattern Is a Predictor of Outcome in Neuroblastoma
Isabelle Janoueix-Lerosey,Gudrun Schleiermacher,Evi Michels,Véronique Mosseri,Agnès Ribeiro,Delphine Lequin,Joëlle Vermeulen,Jérôme Couturier,Michel Peuchmaur,Alexander Valent,Dominique Plantaz,Hervé Rubie,Dominique Valteau-Couanet,Caroline Thomas,Valérie Combaret,Raphael Rousseau,Angelika Eggert,Jean Michon,Frank Speleman,Olivier Delattre +19 more
TL;DR: The analysis of the overall genomic pattern, which probably unravels particular genomic instability mechanisms rather than the analysis of individual markers, is essential to predict relapse in NB patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recombinant Interferon Alfa-2b Combined with a Regimen Containing Doxorubicin in Patients with Advanced Follicular Lymphoma
Philippe Solal-Celigny,Eric Lepage,Nicole Brousse,Felix Reyes,Corinne Haioun,Michel Leporrier,Michel Peuchmaur,André Bosly,Yolaine Parlier,Pauline Brice,Bertrand Coiffier,Christian Gisselbrecht +11 more
TL;DR: The addition of interferon alfa to a regimen containing doxorubicin increased the rate of response, event-free survival, and overall survival in patients with advanced follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, without serious toxicity, although some patients were unable to tolerate the side effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of glucocorticoid-induced leucine zipper (GILZ) by macrophages: an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive mechanism shared by glucocorticoids and IL-10
Dominique Berrebi,Stefano Bruscoli,Stefano Bruscoli,Nicolas Cohen,Nicolas Cohen,Arnaud Foussat,Arnaud Foussat,Graziella Migliorati,Graziella Migliorati,Laurence Bouchet-Delbos,Laurence Bouchet-Delbos,Marie-Christine Maillot,Marie-Christine Maillot,Alain Portier,Alain Portier,Jacques Couderc,Jacques Couderc,Pierre Galanaud,Pierre Galanaud,Michel Peuchmaur,Michel Peuchmaur,Carlo Riccardi,Carlo Riccardi,Dominique Emilie,Dominique Emilie +24 more
TL;DR: It is found that GILZ was constitutively produced by macrophages in nonlymphoid tissues of humans and mice and appears to play a key role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of glucocorticoids and IL-10.
