Purification of a Novel Flavoprotein Involved in the Thyroid NADPH Oxidase CLONING OF THE PORCINE AND HUMAN cDNAs
Corinne Dupuy,Renée Ohayon,Alexander Valent,Marie-Sophie Noël-Hudson,Danielle Dème,Alain Virion +5 more
TL;DR: Microsequences permitted the cloning of porcine and human full-length cDNAs encoding, respectively, 1207- and 1210-amino acid proteins with a predicted molecular mass of 138 kDa (p138Tox), which purified from pig thyroid plasma membrane a flavoprotein which constitutes the main, if not the sole, component of the thyroid NAD(P)H oxidase.
Journal ArticleDOI
An immunosurveillance mechanism controls cancer cell ploidy
Laura Senovilla,Laura Senovilla,Laura Senovilla,Ilio Vitale,Ilio Vitale,Ilio Vitale,Isabelle Martins,Isabelle Martins,Isabelle Martins,Maximilien Tailler,Maximilien Tailler,Maximilien Tailler,Claire Pailleret,Claire Pailleret,Claire Pailleret,Mickaël Michaud,Mickaël Michaud,Mickaël Michaud,Lorenzo Galluzzi,Lorenzo Galluzzi,Lorenzo Galluzzi,Sandy Adjemian,Sandy Adjemian,Sandy Adjemian,Oliver Kepp,Oliver Kepp,Oliver Kepp,Mireia Niso-Santano,Mireia Niso-Santano,Mireia Niso-Santano,Shensi Shen,Shensi Shen,Shensi Shen,Guillermo Mariño,Guillermo Mariño,Guillermo Mariño,Alfredo Criollo,Alfredo Criollo,Alfredo Criollo,Alice Boilève,Alice Boilève,Alice Boilève,Bastien Job,Sylvain Ladoire,François Ghiringhelli,Antonella Sistigu,Antonella Sistigu,Antonella Sistigu,Takahiro Yamazaki,Takahiro Yamazaki,Takahiro Yamazaki,Santiago Rello-Varona,Santiago Rello-Varona,Santiago Rello-Varona,Clara Locher,Clara Locher,Clara Locher,Vichnou Poirier-Colame,Vichnou Poirier-Colame,Vichnou Poirier-Colame,Monique Talbot,Alexander Valent,Francesco Berardinelli,Antonio Antoccia,Fabiola Ciccosanti,Gian Maria Fimia,Mauro Piacentini,Antonio Fueyo,Nicole L Messina,Nicole L Messina,Ming Li,Christopher J. Smyth,Mark J. Smyth,Laurence Zitvogel,Maria Castedo,Maria Castedo,Maria Castedo,Guido Kroemer +88 more
TL;DR: It is reported that hyperploid cancer cells become immunogenic because of a constitutive endoplasmic reticulum stress response resulting in the aberrant cell surface exposure of calreticulin, which causes recognition of cancer cells in mice by the host immune system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mitotic catastrophe constitutes a special case of apoptosis whose suppression entails aneuploidy
Maria Castedo,Jean-Luc Perfettini,Thomas Roumier,Alexander Valent,Hana Raslova,Kenichi Yakushijin,David A. Horne,Jean Feunteun,Gilbert M. Lenoir,René H. Medema,William Vainchenker,Guido Kroemer +11 more
TL;DR: A molecular pathway through which DNA damage, failure to arrest the cell cycle and inhibition of apoptosis can favor the occurrence of cytogenetic abnormalities that are likely to participate in oncogenesis is delineated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Overall Genomic Pattern Is a Predictor of Outcome in Neuroblastoma
Isabelle Janoueix-Lerosey,Gudrun Schleiermacher,Evi Michels,Véronique Mosseri,Agnès Ribeiro,Delphine Lequin,Joëlle Vermeulen,Jérôme Couturier,Michel Peuchmaur,Alexander Valent,Dominique Plantaz,Hervé Rubie,Dominique Valteau-Couanet,Caroline Thomas,Valérie Combaret,Raphael Rousseau,Angelika Eggert,Jean Michon,Frank Speleman,Olivier Delattre +19 more
TL;DR: The analysis of the overall genomic pattern, which probably unravels particular genomic instability mechanisms rather than the analysis of individual markers, is essential to predict relapse in NB patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Circulating Tumor Cells Harboring a Unique ALK Rearrangement in ALK-Positive Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer
Emma Pailler,Julien Adam,Amélie Barthelemy,Marianne Oulhen,Nathalie Auger,Alexander Valent,Isabelle Borget,David Planchard,Melissa Taylor,Fabrice Andre,Jean-Charles Soria,Philippe Vielh,Benjamin Besse,Françoise Farace +13 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that CTCs harboring a unique ALK rearrangement and mesenchymal phenotype may arise from clonal selection of tumor cells that have acquired the potential to drive metastatic progression of ALK-positive NSCLC.
