Globular clusters in the outer halo of M31: the survey
Avon Huxor,Nial R. Tanvir,Annette M. N. Ferguson,Mike Irwin,Rodrigo A. Ibata,Terry Bridges,Geraint F. Lewis +6 more
TL;DR: The authors reported the discovery of 40 new globular clusters (GCs) that have been found in surveys of the halo of M31 based on INT/WFC and CHFT/Megacam imagery.
Journal ArticleDOI
The UKIRT Wide Field Camera ZYJHK Photometric System: Calibration from 2MASS
TL;DR: In this paper, the photometric calibration of data taken with the near-infrared Wide Field Camera (WFCAM) on the United Kingdom Infrared Telescope (UKIRT) is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wood-Vasey,Naoki Yasuda +49 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the scatter in the SNe Ia Hubble diagram is smallest for SNe occurring in early-type hosts and largest for those occurring in late-type galaxies.

Automatic Analysis of Objective Prism Spectra
Paul C. Hewett,Mike Irwin,P. S. Bunclark,M. T. Bridgeland,E. J. Kibblewhite,Richard G. McMahon +5 more
TL;DR: An automated system to measure and analyse large numbers of objective prism spectra from photographic plates using the Automated Plate Measuring (APM) facility at Cambridge is described in this paper, which is being applied in a number of ways including automated quasar detection and subsequent clustering analyses, galaxy redshift surveys, and wide field searches for rare objects, such as carbon stars.
