TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive analysis of the globular cluster (GC) system of the Local Group dwarf irregular galaxy NGC 6822 is presented, based on homogeneous optical and near-IR photometry, as well as long-slit spectroscopic observations which are used to determine new radial velocities for six GCs.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Second APM UKST Colour Survey for z > 4 quasars
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectra, positions, and finding charts for 31 bright (R 4.5) quasars in the southern sky (δ 30°) sky were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
New nearby stars among bright APM high proper motion stars
TL;DR: In this article, a new southern sky survey for faint high proper motion stars based on Automatic Plate Measuring (APM) measurements of UK Schmidt Telescope plates was conducted, and a large number of previously unknown brighter objects were found.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Keck/DEIMOS spectroscopic survey of faint Galactic satellites: searching for the least massive dwarf galaxies
TL;DR: In this paper, the DEIMOS spectrograph on Keck has been used to obtain data from 15 to 85 probable members of the Milky Way satellite galaxies, and the authors derived radial velocities precise to a few km/s down to i~21-22.
