Journal ArticleDOI

Electrical and Optical Modelling of Thin-Film Silicon Solar Cells

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance limits of tandem and triple-junction silicon based solar cells are studied by simulations using the optical simulator SunShine developed at Ljubljana University and the opto-electrical simulator ASA developed at Delft University of Technology.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effective Passivation of Black Silicon Surfaces via Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition Grown Conformal Hydrogenated Amorphous Silicon Layer

TL;DR: In this paper, a-Si surfaces superposed on standard pyramidal textures, also known as modulated surface textures (MSTs), are successfully passivated by PECVD-grown conformal layers of a-si:H.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solar cells based on n+-AZO/p-BaSi2 heterojunction: Advanced opto-electrical modelling and experimental demonstration

TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed advanced opto-electrical simulations on thin-film BaSi2 solar cells and found that the passivation of defects in the p-BaSi2 layer and the reduction of carrier recombination at the i-ZnO/p-BASi2 interface would significantly improve the solar cell performance.

Solar Powered E-Bike Charging Station with AC, DC and Contactless Charging

TL;DR: The design of solar powered e-bike charging station that provides AC, DC and contactless charging of e-bikes and has an integrated battery that allows for both grid-connected and off-grid operation is shown.
