Journal ArticleDOI

Interspersed repetitive element polymerase chain reaction product mapping using a mouse interspecific backcross

TL;DR: This method is based on the high degree of B1, B2, and L1 dispersed repeat position polymorphism found between these two species of mouse and has mapped 13 new loci to 9 different chromosomes and has found no evidence of clustering among these loci.
Journal Article

Developmental regulation of ovarian-specific Mos expression.

TL;DR: It is shown that in the ovary, Mos is expressed in oocytes, but not in somatic cells, which suggests a role for ovarian Mos in one or more of the processes of oocyte growth, meiotic maturation, ovulation, or fertilization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Y-receptor-like genes GPR72 and GPR73: molecular cloning, genomic organisation and assignment to human chromosome 11q21.1 and 2p14 and mouse chromosome 9 and 6.

TL;DR: Although successful cell surface expression in a heterologous expression system can be achieved no specific binding to this ligand family can be detected, indicating that perhaps additional factors are required for binding.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coupled Site-Directed Mutagenesis/Transgenesis Identifies Important Functional Domains of the Mouse Agouti Protein

TL;DR: These studies demonstrate that the signal sequence, the N-linked glycosylation site, and the C-terminal Cys residues are important for full biological activity, while at least a portion of the lysine-rich basic domain is dispensable for normal function.
