Climate Change 2007: The Physical Science Basis.

Graphene’s success has shown that it is possible to create stable, single and few-atom-thick layers of van der Waals materials, and also that these materials can exhibit fascinating and technologically useful properties. Here we review the state-of-the-art of 2D materials beyond graphene. Initially, we will outline the different chemical classes of 2D materials and discuss the various strategies to prepare single-layer, few-layer, and multilayer assembly materials in solution, on substrates, and on the wafer scale. Additionally, we present an experimental guide for identifying and characterizing single-layer-thick materials, as well as outlining emerging techniques that yield both local and global information. We describe the differences that occur in the electronic structure between the bulk and the single layer and discuss various methods of tuning their electronic properties by manipulating the surface. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic and advanced interstitial lung disease with poor prognosis. AHNAK nucleoprotein 2 (AHNAK2) is a macromolecular protein that is important for cell migration and muscle membrane repair. The protein acts via epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), which is a key mechanism in the pathogenesis of IPF. However, very few studies have elucidated the effect of AHNAK2 in the development of IPF. Therefore, we aimed to determine the role of AHNAK2 in IPF development.

Inhibition of AHNAK nucleoprotein 2 alleviates pulmonary fibrosis by downregulating the TGF‐β1/Smad3 signaling pathway

. Due to lack of regional data constraints, all global ocean tide models are not accuracy enough in offshore areas around China, also the displacements predicted by different models are not consistency. The ocean tide loading effects have become a major source of error in the high precision GPS positioning. It is important for high precision GPS applications to build an appropriate regional ocean tide model. We first process the four offshore GPS tracking station’s observation data which located in Guangdong province of China by using PPP aproach to get the time series. Then use the spectral inversion method to acquire eigenvalues of the Ocean Tidal Loading. We get the estimated value of not only ~12hour period tide wave (M2, S2, N2, K2) but also ~24hour period tide wave (O1, K1, P1, Q1) which has not been got in presious studies. The contrast test shows that GPS estimation value of M2, K1 is consistent with the result of five famous glocal ocean load tide models, but S2, N2, K2, O1, P1, Q1 is obviously larger.

Refine of regional ocean tide model using gps data

This study presents systems submitted by the University of Texas at Dallas, Center for Robust Speech Systems (UTD-CRSS) to the MGB-3 Arabic Dialect Identification (ADI) subtask. This task is defined to discriminate between five dialects of Arabic, including Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine, North African, and Modern Standard Arabic. We develop multiple single systems with different front-end representations and back-end classifiers. At the front-end level, feature extraction methods such as Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs) and two types of bottleneck features (BNF) are studied for an i-Vector framework. As for the back-end level, Gaussian back-end (GB), and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) classifiers are applied alternately. The best submission (contrastive) is achieved for the ADI subtask with an accuracy of 76.94% by augmenting the randomly chosen part of the development dataset. Further, with a post evaluation correction in the submitted system, final accuracy is increased to 79.76%, which represents the best performance achieved so far for the challenge on the test dataset.

UTD-CRSS Submission for MGB-3 Arabic Dialect Identification: Front-end and Back-end Advancements on Broadcast Speech

In this paper, four methods of calculating the surface electric field of the bipolar HVDC transmission lines were compared. To study the influence factors on the space-charge-free electric field of the bundle surface quantitatively, which include conductor radius, bundle spacing, polar distance and the height of conductors, sensitivity analysis method was introduced. Two sensitivity indexes were calculated to describe the influence of the transmission line parameters, namely the local sensitivity and the global sensitivity based on partial derivative. The work done in this paper can provide a useful preference for further ±1100kV UHVDC transmission lines design.
