Journal ArticleDOI

Life cycle stage and water depth affect flooding-induced adventitious root formation in the terrestrial species Solanum dulcamara

TL;DR: Adventitious root formation in response to shallow flooding was significantly constrained in juvenile S. dulcamara plants compared with mature plants, and was delayed by deep flooding compared with shallow flooding, independent of developmental stage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi alter plant allometry and biomass–density relationships

TL;DR: With a high level of AMF, the biomass-density exponent can be predicted from the above-ground allometric model of self-thinning, while this was not the case when AMF were reduced by fungicide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic and reversible magnetocaloric properties of (Gd1−xDyx)4Co3 ferrimagnets

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect of the ferrimagnetic compounds Gd(4)Co(3) and (Gd(0.9)Dy (0.1))(4, Co(3), have been studied and shown that the successive magnetic transitions could enlarge the temperature interval, which makes this type of material meaningful for magnetic refrigeration in wider temperature regions than conventional materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Does short-term litter input manipulation affect soil respiration and its carbon-isotopic signature in a coniferous forest ecosystem of central China?

TL;DR: In this article, the impact of above and belowground litter input on soil respiration and the carbon-isotopic signature of soil-respired CO 2 was investigated in a coniferous forest ecosystem of central China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced thermoelectric performance of p-type Mg3Sb2 by lithium doping and its tunability in an anionic framework

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the thermoelectric properties of p-type lithium-doped Mg3Sb2 prepared by ball milling and hot pressing.
