Journal ArticleDOI
Constitutive activity of G-protein-coupled receptors: cause of disease and common property of wild-type receptors
TL;DR: A systematic overview on constitutively active G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), a rapidly evolving area in signal transduction research, and inverse agonists and Na+ that stabilize the R state, and pertussis toxin that uncouples GPCRs from Gi/Go-proteins are provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation and release of nitric oxide from human neutrophils and HL-60 cells induced by a chemotactic peptide, platelet activating factor and leukotriene B4
TL;DR: The data suggest that at least one NDRF is identical with NO or another labile NO containing compound derived from arginine, and the formation and release of NO was enhanced several‐fold in the presence of superoxide dismutase.
Journal ArticleDOI
THE CONCISE GUIDE TO PHARMACOLOGY 2021/22: Enzymes.
Stephen P.H. Alexander,Doriano Fabbro,Eamonn Kelly,Alistair Mathie,John A. Peters,Emma L. Veale,Jane F. Armstrong,Elena Faccenda,Simon D. Harding,Adam J. Pawson,Christopher Southan,Jamie A. Pyne,Susan Pyne,Michael Russwurm,Roland Seifert,Johannes-Peter Stasch,Mario van der Stelt,Albert van der Vliet,Val J. Watts,Szu Shen Wong +28 more
TL;DR: The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2021/22 as mentioned in this paper provides concise overviews, mostly in tabular format, of the key properties of nearly 1900 human drug targets with an emphasis on selective pharmacology (where available), plus links to the open access knowledgebase source of drug targets and their ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI
Involvement of pyrimidinoceptors in the regulation of cell functions by uridine and by uracil nucleotides.
Roland Seifert,Günter Schultz +1 more
TL;DR: The evidence that pyrimidine nucleotides exert their effects by binding to distinct pyrimidinoceptors, which are coupled to pertussis toxin-sensitive G proteins in human phagocytes is reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Guideline for acute therapy and management of anaphylaxis
Johannes Ring,Kirsten Beyer,Tilo Biedermann,Andreas J. Bircher,D. Duda,Jörg Fischer,Frank Friedrichs,Thomas Fuchs,Uwe Gieler,Thilo Jakob,Ludger Klimek,Lars Lange,Hans F. TL;DR: S2 Guideline of the German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology (DGAKI) and the patient organization German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB).
