Wallace,Asad Zoma,Joan T. Merrill,Caroline Gordon +38 more
TL;DR: To determine the level of agreement of disease flare severity (distinguishing severe, moderate, and mild flare and persistent disease activity) in a large paper‐patient exercise involving 988 individual cases of systemic lupus erythematosus, a large study of large numbers of patients is conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Smoking is the most significant modifiable lung cancer risk factor in systemic lupus erythematosus
Sasha Bernatsky,Rosalind Ramsey-Goldman,Michelle Petri,Murray B. Urowitz,Dafna D. Gladman,Paul R. Fortin,Edward H. Yelin,Ellen M. Ginzler,John G. Hanly,CA Peschken,Caroline Gordon,Ola Nived,Cynthia Aranow,Sang Cheol Bae,David A. Isenberg,Anisur Rahman,James E. Hansen,Yvan St. Pierre,Ann E. Clarke +18 more
TL;DR: No clear evidence for drugs as a trigger for lung cancer risk in SLE was seen, although drug risk estimates were relatively imprecise, and smoking may be the most significant modifiable lungcancer risk factor in Sle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Risk Factors for Thrombosis in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Rachel Kaiser,Yonghong Li,Monica Chang,Joseph J. Catanese,Ann B. Begovich,Elizabeth E. Brown,Jeffrey C. Edberg,Gerald McGwin,Graciela S. Alarcón,Rosalind Ramsey-Goldman,John D. Reveille,Luis M. Vilá,Michelle Petri,Robert P. Kimberly,Kimberly E. Taylor,Lindsey A. Criswell +15 more
TL;DR: The results implicate specific genetic risk factors for thrombosis in patients with SLE and suggest that genetic risk for thROMbosis differs across ethnic groups.
