TL;DR: Hydxychloroquine, which overall is well tolerated by patients with SLE, has a protective effect on survival which is evident even after taking into consideration the factors associated with treatment decisions.

TL;DR: Findings indicate that, after adjustment for propensity to receive HCQ, HCQ usage is independently associated with a reduced risk of damage accrual in SLE patients who had not yet accrued damage at the time of treatment initiation.

TL;DR: The frequency of Klinefelter's syndrome (47,XXY), often subclinical, is increased in men with SLE by approximately 14-fold compared with its prevalence in men without SLE, consistent with the notion that SLE susceptibility is partly explained by an X chromosome gene-dose effect.
