African trypanosomiasis therapy with a nanobody-conjugated human trypanolytic factor
TL;DR: In this paper, a nanobody- conjugated human apo-L1 is truncated at the C-terminal end to avoid neutralization by the trypanosomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanobodies targeting ABCC3 for immunotargeted applications in glioblastoma
Eduardo Ruiz-López,Ivana Jovčevska,Ruth González-Gómez,Héctor Tejero,Fatima Al-Shahrour,Serge Muyldermans,Alberto J. Schuhmacher +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , the ATP Binding Cassette subfamily C member 3 (ABCC3) was identified as a suitable target for immunotargeted applications and two nanobodies targeting ABCC3 (NbA42 and NbA213) were further characterized and demonstrated in vivo selective recognition in glioblastoma xenograft mouse models upon systemic administration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical detection of Toxocara canis excretory-secretory antigens in children from rural communities in Esmeraldas Province, Ecuador: association between active infection and high eosinophilia.
Francisco Morales-Yánez,Francisco Morales-Yánez,Stanislav Trashin,Idalia Sariego,Clémentine Roucher,Linda Paredis,Martha E. Chico,Karolien De Wael,Serge Muyldermans,Philip J. Cooper,Philip J. Cooper,Katja Polman,Katja Polman +12 more
TL;DR: A nanobody-based electrochemical assay with superior sensitivity to detect T. canis excretory-secretory (TES) antigens in serum has potential as a valuable tool for the diagnosis of active human toxocariasis.
Book ChapterDOI
Nanobody-Based Chromatin Immunoprecipitation
Trong Nguyen Duc,Gholamreza Hassanzadeh-Ghassabeh,Dirk Saerens,Eveline Peeters,Daniel Charlier,Serge Muyldermans +5 more
TL;DR: A Nanobody-based ChIP protocol is described which is successfully used for genome-wide identification of the binding sites of the low-abundant transcription factor Ss-LrpB from the hyperthermoacidophilic archaeon Sulfolobus solfataricus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of Nanobodies against Mal de Río Cuarto virus major viroplasm protein P9-1 for diagnostic sandwich ELISA and immunodetection
Gabriela Llauger,Demián Monti,Matías Adúriz,Ema Romão,Analía Delina Dumón,Analía Delina Dumón,M.F. Mattio,M.F. Mattio,A. Wigdorovitz,Serge Muyldermans,Serge Muyldermans,Cécile Vincke,Viviana Parreño,Mariana del Vas +13 more
TL;DR: The isolation and characterization of llama-derived Nanobodies recognizing the major viral viroplasm component, P9-1 are described, and fusions of the Nbs to eGFP and RFP allowed the immunodetection of virus present in phloem cells of leaf thin sections.
