Smith,Nicholas L. Smith,Nicholas L. Smith,Kenneth Rice,Elizabeth D. Schifano +40 more
TL;DR: This work extends the BinomiRare test, which was previously proposed for independent observations, and develops the Conway-Maxwell-Poisson test, and study their properties in simulations to address all three issues in developing the carriers-only test framework for testing rare variant association with a binary trait.
Journal ArticleDOI
Associations between Aircraft Noise Exposure and Self-Reported Sleep Duration and Quality in the United States-Based Prospective Nurses’ Health Study Cohort
Matthew Bozigar,Tianyi Huang,Susan Redline,Jaime E. Hart,Stephanie T. Grady,Daniel D. Nguyen,Peter James,B Mc Nicholas,Jonathan I. Levy,Francine Laden,Junenette L. Peters +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined associations between aircraft noise and self-reported sleep duration and quality in the Nurses' Health Study, a large prospective cohort of 35,226 female nurses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk of post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with pre-coronavirus disease obstructive sleep apnea diagnoses: an electronic health record-based analysis from the RECOVER initiative.

TL;DR: In this article , the impact of preexisting OSA on the risk for probable PASC in adults and children using electronic health record data from multiple research networks was assessed, and an attenuated association that remained significant among adults only.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modifying pathways by age and sex for the association between combined sleep disordered breathing and long sleep duration with neurocognitive decline in the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL).
Sonya Kaur,Wassim Tarraf,Benson Wu,Kevin A. Gonzalez,Martha L. Daviglus,Neomi Shah,Daniela Sotres-Alvarez,Linda C. Gallo,William K. Wohlgemuth,Susan Redline,Hector M. González,Alberto R. Ramos +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the association between combined sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and long sleep and declines in memory and global cognition was most pronounced in obese older adults in a community based cohort of U.S. Hispanic/Latinos.
Journal ArticleDOI
Associations between sleep health and grey matter volume in the UK Biobank cohort (N = 33,356)
Juliane Schiel,Sandra Tamm,Florian Holub,Roxana Petri,Hassan S. Dashti,Katharina Domschke,Bernd Feige,Matthew Goodman,Samuel E. Jones,Jacqueline M. Lane,Pietro Luca Ratti,David W. TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated associations between sleep health and grey matter volume (139 imaging-derived phenotypes) in the UK Biobank cohort (33,356 participants), drawing on a large sample size and consistent data acquisition, sleep duration, insomnia symptoms, daytime sleepiness, chronotype, sleep medication and sleep apnoea were examined.
