Exploring the Photon-Number Distribution of Bimodal Microlasers with a Transition Edge Sensor
Elisabeth Schlottmann,Martin von Helversen,H. A. M. Leymann,T. Lettau,Felix Krüger,Marco Schmidt,Marco Schmidt,Christian Schneider,Martin Kamp,Sven Höfling,Sven Höfling,Jörn Beyer,Jan Wiersig,Stephan Reitzenstein +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, transition edge sensors (TESs) are used to resolve the number of photons in an ultraweak optical pulse, allowing the determination of the full photon statistics, which is not possible using standard commercial detectors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single mode interband cascade lasers based on lateral metal gratings
TL;DR: In this article, a single mode distributed feedback (DFB) interband cascade laser was realized by placing metal gratings laterally to dry etched ridges, and a discrete tuning range of 104nm could be realized on the same gain material by a variation of the grating period.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and theoretical analysis of Landauer erasure in nano-magnetic switches of different sizes
Leonardo Martini,Leonardo Martini,Matteo Pancaldi,Marco Madami,Paolo Vavassori,Gianluca Gubbiotti,Silvia Tacchi,Fabian Hartmann,Monika Emmerling,Sven Höfling,Sven Höfling,L. Worschech,Giovanni Carlotti +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the minimum energy required to change the information content of nano-magnetic switches, a crucial topic to face fundamental challenges of current technology, such as power dissipation and limits of scaling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anomalies of a nonequilibrium spinor polariton condensate in a magnetic field.
Julian Fischer,Sebastian Brodbeck,A. V. Chernenko,Lederer I,A. Rahimi-Iman,M. Amthor,V. D. Kulakovskii,L. Worschech,Martin Kamp,Mikhail V. Durnev,Christian Schneider,Alexey Kavokin,Sven Höfling +12 more
TL;DR: A strong variation of the Zeeman splitting of exciton polaritons in microcavities when switching between the linear regime, the polariton lasing, and photon lasing regimes is observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The interplay between excitons and trions in a monolayer of MoSe2
Nils Lundt,E. D. Cherotchenko,Oliver Iff,Xi Fan,Yuxia Shen,Pierre Bigenwald,Alexey Kavokin,Alexey Kavokin,Sven Höfling,Sven Höfling,Christian Schneider +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of a free carrier reservoir on the optical properties of excitonic and trionic complexes in a MoSe2 monolayer at cryogenic temperatures was investigated.
