Journal ArticleDOI
Subthalamic deep brain stimulation can improve gastric emptying in Parkinson’s disease
Eiji Arai,Makoto Arai,Tomoyuki Uchiyama,Yoshinori Higuchi,Kyoko Aoyagi,Yoshitaka Yamanaka,Tatsuya Yamamoto,Osamu Nagano,Akihiro Shiina,Daisuke Maruoka,Tomoaki Matsumura,Tomoo Nakagawa,Tatsuro Katsuno,Fumio Imazeki,Naokatsu Saeki,Satoshi Kuwabara,Osamu Yokosuka +16 more
TL;DR: It is shown that levodopa/decarboxylase inhibitor did not influence gastric emptying and that subthalamic deep brain stimulation can improve the dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease possibly by altering the neural system that controls gastrointestinal function after subthalamo-deep brain stimulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of high affinity camptothecin-bombesin conjugates that have targeted cytotoxicity for bombesin receptor-containing tumor cells.
Terry W. Moody,Samuel A. Mantey,Tapas K. Pradhan,Michael Schumann,Tomoo Nakagawa,Alfredo Martínez,Joseph A. Fuselier,David H. Coy,Robert T. Jensen +8 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that CTP-L2-BA3 is a potent agonist that is cytotoxic for cells overexpressing any of the three BN receptor classes and functions as a prodrug for receptor-mediated cytoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of intestinal M cells and follicle-associated epithelium is regulated by TRAF6-mediated NF-κB signaling.
Takashi Kanaya,Sayuri Sakakibara,Toshi Jinnohara,Masami Hachisuka,Naoko Tachibana,Shinya Hidano,Takashi Kobayashi,Shunsuke Kimura,Toshihiko Iwanaga,Tomoo Nakagawa,Tatsuro Katsuno,Naoya Kato,Taishin Akiyama,Toshiro Sato,Ifor R. Williams,Hiroshi Ohno +15 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the NF-&kgr;B pathway activated by RANK is essential for M cell differentiation using in vitro organoid culture and the requirement for tumor necrosis factor receptor–associated factor 6 (TRAF6) is evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors for early and delayed post-operative bleeding after endoscopic submucosal dissection of gastric neoplasms, including patients with continued use of antithrombotic agents
Tomoaki Matsumura,Makoto Arai,Daisuke Maruoka,Kenichiro Okimoto,Shoko Minemura,Hideaki Ishigami,Keiko Saito,Tomoo Nakagawa,Tatsuro Katsuno,Osamu Yokosuka +9 more
TL;DR: Large specimen size is a risk factor for early post-operative bleeding, and HR and CKD requiring hemodialysis are risk factors for delayed bleeding.
Journal ArticleDOI
Significance of measurement of serum trough level and anti-drug antibody of adalimumab as personalised pharmacokinetics in patients with Crohn's disease: a subanalysis of the DIAMOND trial.
Hiroshi Nakase,Satoshi Motoya,Takayuki Matsumoto,Kenji Watanabe,Tadakazu Hisamatsu,Naoki Yoshimura,T. Ishida,Shingo Kato,Tomoo Nakagawa,Motohiro Esaki,Masakazu Nagahori,Toshiyuki Matsui,Yuji Naito,Takanori Kanai,Yasuo Suzuki,Masanori Nojima,Mamoru Watanabe,T. Hibi +17 more
TL;DR: Significance of monitoring adalimumab trough levels and anti‐adalimumab antibodies (AAA) for disease outcome in Crohn's disease patients remained unclear.
