Journal ArticleDOI
Prior myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease extent, diabetes mellitus, and CERT2 score for risk stratification in stable coronary artery disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of five widely used serologic assays for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2.
Christopher Stocking,Laura de Miguel,Gabriela Suteu,Alexander Dressel,Andrea Soricelli,Martin Roskos,Santiago Valor,Caren Mutschmann,Winfried März,Winfried März,Winfried März +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, commercial assays for antibodies against (SARS-CoV-2) have emerged while reliable diagnostic technologies are pivotal to the fight against COVID-19, while real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) remains the gold standard.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recurrent tendosynovitis as a rare manifestation of a lipid disorder.
Daniel Wadsack,Horst Sattler,Marcus E. Kleber,Katharina Eirich,Hubert Scharnagl,Günter Fauler,Winfried März,Tanja B. Grammer +7 more
TL;DR: This case report shows that tendon xanthoma along with tendosynovitis, especially on extensor areas, is suspicious for hypercholesterolemia as the underlying cause, and the absence of atherosclerotic plaques in the abdominal aorta and in the carotid arteries on ultrasound may suggest that phytosterolemia is not necessarily accompanied by premature vascular disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Management verschiedener kardiovaskulärer Risikofaktoren mit einem Kombinationspräparat („Polypill“)
Peter Bramlage,Winfried März,Winfried März,Winfried März,Dirk Westermann,B. Weisser,J H Wirtz,Uwe Zeymer,Baumgart P,G van Mark,Ulrich Laufs,Bernhard K. Krämer,Thomas Unger +12 more
TL;DR: Fixed-dose combination drugs (polypills) could increase the medication adherence of patients, reduce risks and prevent cardiovascular events, and fixed-dose combinations showed a superior control of risk factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
GWAS META-analysis followed by MENDELIAN randomisation revealed potential control mechanisms for circulating α-klotho levels.
Ingrid Gergei,Ingrid Gergei,Jie Zheng,Till F. M. Andlauer,Till F. M. Andlauer,Vincent Brandenburg,Nazanin Mirza-Schreiber,Bertram Müller-Myhsok,Bertram Müller-Myhsok,Bernhard K. Krämer,Daniel Richard,Louise Falk,Sofia Movérare-Skrtic,Claes Ohlsson,Claes Ohlsson,George Davey Smith,Winfried März,Winfried März,Winfried März,Jakob Voelkl,Jakob Voelkl,Jonathan H Tobias,Jonathan H Tobias +22 more
TL;DR: In this article, a GWAS meta-analysis followed by Mendelian randomisation of circulating α-Klotho levels was conducted to investigate the role of B4GALNT3 and CHST9 enzymes in the influence of protein turnover and stability.
