Mechanism of benzene hydroxylation by high-valent bare FeIVO2+: explicit electronic structure analysis
Jilai Li,Xiang Zhang,Xuri Huang +2 more
TL;DR: A thorough theoretical study of the conversion of benzene to phenol by high-valent bare FeO(2+) was comprehensively explored using a density functional theory method, which may offer very important clues for understanding and studying C-H bond activation by iron-based catalysts and enzymatic reactions in protein active pockets.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A Carpet Cloak Device for Visible Light
Christopher Gladden,Majid Gharghi,Thomas Zentgraf,Yongmin Liu,Xiaobo Yin,Jason Valentine,Xiang Zhang +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report a cloak device that makes objects undetectable by visible light using conformal mapping and is fabricated in silicon nitride waveguide on nano-porous silicon oxide substrate with very low refractive index.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protein quality control through endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation maintains haematopoietic stem cell identity and niche interactions.
Longyong Xu,Xia Liu,Fanglue Peng,Weijie Zhang,Liting Zheng,Yao Ding,Tianpeng Gu,Kaosheng Lv,Kaosheng Lv,Jin Wang,Laura Ortinau,Tianyuan Hu,Xiangguo Shi,Guojun Shi,Ge Shang,Shengyi Sun,Takao Iwawaki,Yewei Ji,Wei Li,Jeffrey M. Rosen,Xiang Zhang,Dongsu Park,Stanley Adoro,Andre Catic,Wei Tong,Wei Tong,Ling Qi,Daisuke Nakada,Xi Chen +28 more
TL;DR: Endoplasmic Reticulum-Associated Degradation is reported as a protein quality checkpoint that controls hematopoietic stem cell-niche interaction and determines the fate of HSC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mid-IR broadband supercontinuum generation from a suspended silicon waveguide.
TL;DR: An all-air-cladding silicon-rib waveguide is proposed to experimentally reveal the nonlinear performance of supercontinuum generation and multiple conditions were set by varying the interaction length, pump power, and waveguide dimension, which revealed the non linear phenomenon in the waveguide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Topological Corner Modes Induced by Dirac Vortices in Arbitrary Geometry.
TL;DR: In this article, a general scheme of inducing topological corner modes (TCMs) in arbitrary geometry based on Dirac vortices from aperiodic Kekul\'e modulations is presented.
