Effects of ionic and nonionic surfactants on milk shell wettability during co-spray-drying of whole milk particles

TL;DR: This study investigated the changes in wetting behavior on the surface of a whole milk particle caused by the addition of surfactants before drying, and proposed that Tween 80 could adsorb at the oil-water interface of fat globules, making the surface fat more wettable, whereas lecithin tends to combine with milk proteins to form a complex, which then competes for the air-water surface withfat globules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembled highly crystalline TiO2 mesostructures for sunlight-driven, pH-responsive photodegradation of dyes

TL;DR: In this article, a self-assembled ordered mesoporous TiO2 with highly crystalline anatase structures and high surface area was used to characterize the photocatalytic performance on the degradation of three typical dyes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave drying at various conditions modeled using the reaction engineering approach

TL;DR: In this paper, a lumped reaction engineering approach (REA) is coupled with appropriate equations for modeling microwave heating, where a slight modification of the equilibrium activation energy is needed since the product temperature is higher than the ambient temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and characteristic of gelatine/oxidized corn starch and gelatin/corn starch blend microspheres.

TL;DR: Results indicated that the composites could be prepared with excellent properties by G/OCS (6:4) which would overcome some disadvantage such as thermodynamic incompatibility and phase separation byG/CS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct concurrent multi-scale CFD modeling: The effect of intraparticle transfer on the flow field in a MTO FBR

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for coal conversion based on state-key laboratory of chemical engineering (SKL-ChE-13A05) at Tsinghua University.
