Prediction of spray‐dried product quality using two simple drying kinetics models

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of two simple and effective drying kinetics models: the characteristic drying-rate curve and reaction-engineering approach (REA) models is made. But the results of the comparison are limited to two sets of conditions, and the REA model was found to deliver more realistic predictions during the modeling of the droplet drying process.

Chaotic spreading codes and their generation

TL;DR: In this article, a set of spreading codes is generated by determining first and second chaotic pseudo-random noise codes having delta-peak-like autocorrelation functions and a low cross-correlation function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Desorption isotherm of milk powders at elevated temperatures and over a wide range of relative humidity

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed account of the measurement and analysis of equilibrium isotherm data, obtained using a specialized device built for the purposes of large temperature and humidity ranges, is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prediction of air-drying of milk droplet under relatively high humidity using the reaction engineering approach

TL;DR: In this article, the experimental results on constant drying conditions with high humidity air flows are reported for the first time, and a mathematical model using the reaction engineering approach (the REA model) was established using the very dry air conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rheological properties of dilute aqueous solutions of cassava starch

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of starch concentration on the rheological properties of dilute aqueous solutions of cassava starch were investigated and the apparent viscosities of starch solutions were measured as a function of starch concentrations.
