TL;DR: In this article, a photochromic Bi2WO6-x/amorphous BiOCl (p-BWO) nanosheets were constructed for the photocatalytic oxidation of toluene.
Abstract: Photocatalysis based on the use of semiconducting materials is an emerging alternative to conventional thermochemical catalysis, and it has the potential to promote chemical synthesis under greener and milder conditions However, heterogeneous photocatalytic organic reactions are still in their infancy, limited by the low-efficiency carrier separation of the currently available photocatalytic materials Here, we report photochromic Bi2WO6–x/amorphous BiOCl (p-BWO) nanosheets, which, distinct from pristine Bi2WO6, show blue colouration upon visible light irradiation and are bleached by atmospheric oxygen Studies on the microscopic structure of the material reveal the existence of abundant W(vi)O6–x units, which serve as the sites for the fast and continuous consumption of photogenerated electrons, thereby effectively facilitating the separation of electron–hole pairs The prepared composite features a remarkable enhancement in performance for the photocatalytic oxidation of toluene with a conversion rate 166-fold higher compared with that of pristine Bi2WO6 Despite its potential, the visible light-triggered photocatalytic oxidation of toluene remains difficult due to the lack of efficient and scalable catalytic strategies Now, a photochromic Bi2WO6–x/amorphous BiOCl composite is reported with the ability to oxidize toluene into benzaldehyde and benzoic acid with outstanding rates and quantum efficiencies

TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of mild solutions for a class of fractional stochastic differential equations with impulses in Hilbert spaces was studied and sufficient conditions for mild solutions were formulated and proved.
Abstract: The fractional stochastic differential equations have wide applications in various fields of science and engineering. This paper addresses the issue of existence of mild solutions for a class of fractional stochastic differential equations with impulses in Hilbert spaces. Using fractional calculations, fixed point technique, stochastic analysis theory and methods adopted directly from deterministic fractional equations, new set of sufficient conditions are formulated and proved for the existence of mild solutions for the fractional impulsive stochastic differential equation with infinite delay. Further, we study the existence of solutions for fractional stochastic semilinear differential equations with nonlocal conditions. Examples are provided to illustrate the obtained theory.

TL;DR: In this paper, a promising electrochemical sensor was fabricated by electrodeposition of gold nanoparticles on poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE), forming a nano-Au/p3MT composites-modified GCE (nano- Au/P3 MT/GCE).
Abstract: A promising electrochemical sensor was fabricated by electrodeposition of gold nanoparticles on poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE), forming a nano-Au/P3MT composites-modified GCE (nano-Au/P3MT/GCE). Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and electrochemical techniques were used for the characterization of these composites. It was found that nano-Au/P3MT layer was very uniform, and formed a kind of nanoporous structure. Electrochemical experiments showed that this proposed nano-Au/P3MT composites-modified electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic properties for nitrite and iodate. Amperometry revealed that there existed a good linear relationship between peak current with the concentration in the range of 10–1000 μM and the detection limit of 2.3 μM for nitrite and in the range of 5–500 μM and the detection limit of 1.4 μM for iodate. The proposed method has been used as an amperometric detector for analysis of nitrite and iodate in iodized table salt and results were satisfactory. The nano-Au/P3MT composites-modified electrode had good storage stability, reproducibility and anti-interference ability for promising practical application.

TL;DR: In this article, three different nanostructures of CuO (wires, platelets, and spindles) have been synthesized by one precursor, and the electrochemical properties of the three different nano-structures are studied by their investigation of electrochemical impendance spectrum and cyclic voltammetry.
Abstract: Three different nanostructures of CuO (wires, platelets, and spindles) have been synthesized by one precursor. First, Cu(OH)2 nanowires have been prepared by a two-step, template-free, wet chemical approach. And then the transformation from the 1D Cu(OH)2 nanostructures to a variety of novel CuO nanostructures has been realized by thermal dehydration of the as-prepared Cu(OH)2 in solution. The electrochemical characters of the three different nanostructures are studied by their investigation of electrochemical impendance spectrum and cyclic voltammetry. A comparison of the three nanostructures showed us an attractive phenomenon, that is, the electron transfer ability of CuO nanospindles was stronger than that of CuO nanowires or nanoplatelets. We suggest the possible reason is the assembly of the nanostructrue. The electrochemical response of the as-prepared samples on H2O2 is also investigated, and good application in electrochemical detecting of glucose is exhibited.
