TL;DR: Using a new variable transformation and differential inclusions theory, a new framework is provided to deal with the inertial neural networks with fuzzy logics and discontinuous activation functions and some sufficient criteria are derived for achieving fixed-time synchronization.

TL;DR: In this paper, the sediment profiles of total phosphorus (TP), inorganic phosphorus (Pi), organic phosphorus (Po), C/P and N/P were used to investigate time-dependent P distribution changes in Lake Chaohu.
Abstract: In this study, the sediment profiles of total phosphorus (TP), inorganic phosphorus (Pi), organic phosphorus (Po), C/P and N/P were used to investigate time-dependent P distribution changes in Lake Chaohu. The characteristics of Pi and Po fractions in the surface sediments were studied and the difference between east and west lake region was also discussed. The Pi and Po contents displayed a clear gradient from east to west in sediments of Lake Chaohu, and the Po/P ratios were lower in sediments with industrial and urban pollution sources input in west lake region. The study indicated that different sediments area had diverse concentrations and distributions of Po fractions due to their different drainage basin and pollution sources. The profile distribution of the C/P and N/P ratios decreased with increasing depths and stayed relatively constant ratios at the depths of 15–30 cm. The C/P and N/P ratios were always below Redfield ratios in sediment profile, indicating P enrichment but likely due to the preferential loss of carbon in respect to phosphorus. The rank order of Pi-fractions extracted was HCl-Pi > NaOH-Pi > NaHCO3-Pi in surface sediments. The relative distribution of NaHCO3-Pi and HCl-Pi was in agreement with the trophic conditions of the regions studied. Among the sequentially extracted Po forms, the rank order of Po fractions was residual Po > HCl-Po > fulvic acid-P > humic acid-P > NaHCO3-Po, with mean relative proportion of 5.4:3.4:2.2:1.1:1.0.

TL;DR: An electrochemical sensor for theophylline (ThPh) was prepared by electropolymerizing o-phenylenediamine on a glassy carbon electrode in the presence of ThPh via cyclic voltammetry, followed by deposition of gold nanoparticles using a potentiostatic method as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: An electrochemical sensor for theophylline (ThPh) was prepared by electropolymerizing o-phenylenediamine on a glassy carbon electrode in the presence of ThPh via cyclic voltammetry, followed by deposition of gold nanoparticles using a potentiostatic method. The effects of pH, ratio between template molecule and monomer, number of cycles for electropolymerization, and of the solution for extraction were optimized. The current of the electro-active model system hexacyanoferrate(III) and hexacyanoferrate(IV) decreased linearly with successive addition of ThPh in the concentration range between 4.0 × 10−7 ~ 1.5 × 10−5 mol·L−1 and 2.4 × 10−4 ~ 3.4 × 10−3 mol·L−1, with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−7 mol·L−1. The sensor has an excellent recognition capability for ThPh compared to structurally related molecules, can be regenerated and is stable.

TL;DR: C. comosum may have tremendous application value in the treatment of Cd-contaminated soils because of the advantages of high tolerance, high accumulation, and high ornamental value.
Abstract: The effects on the growth, physiological indexes and the cadmium (Cd) accumulation in Chlorophytum comosum under Cd stress were examined by pot-planting. The results showed that the tolerance index (TI) of C. comosum were all above 100 in soil Cd concentration of 100 mg kg(-1). The O(2˙)⁻ production rate and electrical conductivity of C. comosum were significantly positively correlated to Cd adding-concentration while the MDA content increased and had significant differences with the control. The activities of SOD, CAT, and POD all rose significantly in lower Cd concentration and the Cd threshold of them were around 10, 50 and 20 mg kg(-1), respectively. The Cd in C. comosum root and aboveground part reached 1,522 and 865·5 mg kg(-1), respectively, in Cd concentration of soil up to 200 mg kg(-1). For the advantages of high tolerance, high accumulation, and high ornamental value, C. comosum may have tremendous application value in the treatment of Cd-contaminated soils.
