TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explain how these challenges arise out of scientists' different work practices in internal vs external R&D problem solving and identify and discuss a number of remedies to these challenges.
Abstract: The current open innovation literature needs to be complemented with work on the managerial challenges faced by companies working with an innovation intermediary to solve research and development (RD (2) selecting the right problems; and (3) formulating problems so as to enable novel solutions Based on the knowledge management literature, we explain how these challenges arise out of scientists' different work practices in internal vs external R&D problem solving and we identify and discuss a number of remedies to these challenges

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared literature data on particle emissions from combustion of wood pellets and wood briquettes in commercial small-scale combustion devices: a pellet stove, two pellet burners and two smaller district heating boilers.
Abstract: Literature data on particle emissions are compared with emissions from combustion of wood pellets and wood briquettes in commercial small-scale combustion devices: a pellet stove, two pellet burners and two smaller district heating boilers. The influence of operating parameters and fuel quality was investigated. Mass concentration, number concentration and number size distribution of particles were determined. The mass size distribution was analysed as well as the inorganic components. Gaseous compounds were recorded to give information about the combustion conditions. The mass concentrations of particles were between 34 and 240 mg Nm −3 , increasing during unsatisfactory operation conditions. The number concentration was in the range of 107–108 particles per Ncm−3. The particle emission was dominated by submicron particles (size μm ), both from number and mass perspective. The main inorganic components of the submicron particles were potassium, sulphur, chlorine and oxygen. Small amounts of sodium, magnesium and zinc were also found. The contents of potassium, chlorine, and sulphur in the fuel are important for the composition of the emitted inorganic submicron particles.

TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of using NiO as an oxygen carrier during chemical-looping combustion has been investigated, and a thermodynamic analysis with CH 4 as fuel showed that the yield of CH 4 to CO 2 and H 2 O was between 97.7 and 99.8% in the temperature range 700-1200°C, with the yield decreasing as the temperature increases.

TL;DR: A heptaarginine peptide, with a tryptophan residue added in the C-terminus, was found to be internalized by cells via an energy-independent, non-endocytotic pathway, and a crucial role for arginine residues in penetratin and Tat(48-60) was demonstrated.
