TL;DR: In this paper, the second-order optical susceptibilities were established in the optically poled erbium doped tellurite glasses near the melting temperature, where the non-centrosymmetric grating of the medium was created by coherent superposition of the fundamental laser illumination at 1907nm and the doubled frequency one at 953.5nm.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered heat conduction in two joint half-lines under the condition of perfect contact, i.e., when the temperatures at the contact point and the heat fluxes through the contact points are the same for both regions.
Abstract: Heat conduction in two joint half-lines is considered under the condition of perfect contact, i.e. when the temperatures at the contact point and the heat fluxes through the contact point are the same for both regions. The heat conduction in one half-line is described by the equation with the Caputo time-fractional derivative of order α, whereas heat conduction in another half-line is described by the equation with the time derivative of order β. The fundamental solutions to the first and second Cauchy problems as well as to the source problem are obtained using the Laplace transform with respect to time and the cos-Fourier transform with respect to the spatial coordinate. The fundamental solutions are expressed in terms of the Mittag-Leffler function and the Mainardi function.

TL;DR: An appropriate training schedule, based on FMS results, should be adopted in the annual training program to improve basic motor skills of the football players and minimize their injuries.
Abstract: The aim of the research was to verify the functional state of young football players using selected tests of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) protocol, as well as the impact of the 12 weeks of functional training on the speed parameters. The research was conducted on 20 highly competitive young (U17) football players. Research project was conducted in two stages: in the first part of the study, the functional assessment was made by using the FMS test, then the measurement of the speed parameters was done with the Microgate photocells system. Results showed a significant improvement in the functional state of young football players: FMS 1 (45.2% of difference, p = 0.004), FMS 2 (24.3% of difference, p = 0.012), FMS 3 (48.5% of difference, p = 0.001). After the functional training program, there was also an improvement in the parameters of the acceleration and velocity: acceleration between 5–10 m and speed between 10–30 m shows significant improvement (expressed during covering a given distance) of the footballers, amounting to 0.02 s (2.4%) and 0.04 s (1.5%). But there was no improvement in acceleration between 0–5 m. An appropriate training schedule, based on FMS results, should be adopted in the annual training program to improve basic motor skills of the football players and minimize their injuries.

TL;DR: Manufacturers of professional cosmetics are not ready for this yet, and they have no alternative ecological solutions, as proved by this analysis.
Abstract: Civilisational progress causes bigger and bigger interference in the natural environment. The demand for plastics and their production is constantly growing what is the source of wastes. One of the sources of such waste is cosmetic industry. The main source of fragmented polyethylene is the generally used mechanical peelings. The analysis included 130 scrub-type cosmetic preparations available in the Polish market. Proportional shares of the preparations with polyethylene, natural or mixed abrasive ingredient were determined. The types and frequencies of using natural abrasive materials and biodegradable polymers were characterised. It was analysed if the professional and generally available products differ in this respect. Among the analysed cosmetics, 72 (55%) included polyethylene, and for professional cosmetics, this proportion was 100. Compositions of drugstore cosmetics are varied, with many abrasive substances of natural origin, and only sometimes with polyethylene. The differences observed between generally available cosmetics and professional cosmetics are surprising and indicate a greater ecological awareness of individual clients. The problem will be raised in the coming years more and more frequently, and, as proved by this analysis, manufacturers of professional cosmetics are not ready for this yet, and they have no alternative ecological solutions.

TL;DR: In this paper, a dynamic variant of the non-local coherent potential approximation (DNLCPA) was proposed to investigate the spin dynamics in ultrathin magnetic cobalt-gadolinium random alloy films Co 1 -c Gd c n, n atomic monolayers being their thickness.
